The film 2 States was based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel of the same title. The story was rather familiar – boy and girl fall in love but belong to different cultural backgrounds, which cause problems. When they’re about to graduate, they decide to make their parents aware of their relation and their intention to get married later on.

Whether the Bihar boy and the Delhi girl make it past the half-way mark forms the crux of the film. This was another Arjun Kapoor film inspired by a Chetan Bhagat novel of the same title and yet another commendable performance delivered by the actor.
