Salman Khan meets brave 9-year-old cancer survivour

Salman Khan, known for his philanthropy, recently met Jaganbir, a resilient child who, at the age of 4 in 2018, overcame cancer after nine rounds of chemotherapy. Jaganbir, now 9-years-old, first met Salman during his treatment. Salman Khan promised o meet Jaganbir once he had successfully overcome his battle with cancer, motivating him to persevere like a brave fighter. Jaganbir emerged victorious over cancer the previous year; staying true to Salman’s pledge, they eventually met in December 2023 at Salman’s home in Bandra, honouring the commitment made during Jaganbir’s difficult treatment period.

During an interview with a leading news portal, Sukhbir Kaur, Jaganbir's mother, shared that when he was 3 years old, Jaganbir became blind due to a tumour the size of a coin in his brain. When doctors suggested treatment in Delhi or Mumbai, Jaganbir's father, Pushpinder, chose to take him to Mumbai.

Sukhbir Kaur revealed that upon seeing Jaganbir's enthusiasm, she decided not to reveal the truth. Following Jaganbir's hospitalization, a video in which he expressed his desire to meet Salman surfaced. The video made its way to Salman, who kindly kept his promise and visited Jaganbir.

Overjoyed, Jaganbir confirmed Salman's presence by touching his face and bracelet. Sukhbir joyfully shared that her son has made a good recovery, regaining 99 per cent of his vision and regularly attending school.
